Emergency Preparedness for PetsOctober 25th, 2006The SDPP held a public meeting for members and friends to report the proceedings of the recent FEMA sponsored seminar on emergency preparedness for animals that took place on October 6th and 7th. Lynne Angeloro and Bill Hixson gave a summary of the meetings and workshops.
Lynne announced that she has created a web site dedicated to preparedness. It lists services and contact information that could be valuable in an emergency. (Better print it out while you have electricity!) Lynne's site can be found at: www.angeloro.com/NOPAnimalsInDisaster/
Many thanks to Bill and Lynne for an excellent and informative presentation.
